Vacation Home Linens & Towels System
D1 MANAGEMENT SCHEDULED ME A PROPERTY. HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MYSELF?
Overview of the Process
-
Preparation: You must pick up the required Linen Sets from the office before your scheduled cleaning day. Each set is weighed to ensure we know exactly what is being sent to the homes and also for charging purposes.
-
Replacement: Upon arrival at the property, you replace dirty linens with clean ones as same as for towels. Linens on unused beds are not replaced, ensuring efficient use of resources.
-
Laundry & Dry: You do as much laundry and drying as possible at the property, managing dirty linens and towels. Damaged items are set aside for post-cleaning handling and should be reported to the property manager.
-
Post-Cleaning: After cleaning is completed, or the next day, you must return the Linen Sets to the office. You must report any items that need replacement and ensure that dirty linens have been laundered at the property. If you don't have time to do laundry on-site (e.g., in a back-to-back booking situation), you can use the office laundry facility or another chosen location (see our article on this https://d1vacation.zendesk.com/hc/en-ca/articles/24967597363223-Linens-Towels-How-to-operate-the-laundry-in-the-office.) Once the Linen Sets are received at the office, they are weighed again.
-
Damage Reporting: If any linens are damaged due to guest misuse, the cost will be charged to the guest after verification by the property manager so it is very important for you to report it to the property manager.
-
Quality Assurance: Don't forget that you are responsible for ensuring all beds are made to a high standard with clean, wrinkle-free linens and also that the correct number of towels are there.
